Arcola Needs Volunteers

Volunteers are crucial at Arcola Mills. Everything that happens at Arcola is the result of volunteer efforts. We greatly apperciate all of your efforts!  Arcola Mills has a need for all kinds of volunteers from passionate indiviuals, families that want a bonding day working together for the good of nature and history,  Groups that need a day outdoors in a screne setting along the St Croix. Civic Groups and Companies wanting to do work that benefits the community, nature, and the historic value of Minnesota.

Trail Maintenance, House Cleaning, Wildflower Caretaking and More
Volunteers are needed during the summer May – October.  Please join us, if you love the outdoors, nature, wildflowers, rock gardens, ground keeping, chain saw work,  maintanance and cleaning an Historic Mansion, and grounds keepers to help keep Arcola Mills looking beautiful.    Bird lovers we need volunteers to monitor birds, migrating birds, and animal activity on the property.  There is always a need for photographers, artists, and writers to keep the ongoing history recorded.

Donations fund essential activities such as maintaining hiking trails, safeguarding wildlife habitats, monitoring pollinators, birds, and rare and endangered species, all of which are pivotal to environmental stewardship. Furthermore, historic preservation efforts, including the continued restoration of the Arcola Mills mansion, the oldest wooden framed home in Minnesota, help preserve significant stories and cultural artifacts. These endeavors provide educational opportunities and spaces for reflection.
